"El tema shows a bit of the resistance in the country, the people who are organizing and who contribute a lot to a time where it's all about finding solutions," said Magali Rocha during the presentation of the short films.

Santiago Maza Stern pointed out that the issues reflected in the compilation are not isolated: “The subjects overlap because climate change is a very complex issue. We try to land this issue in Mexico. We are all participants in the solution and the problem. The solution is not individual, the issue is something that we must solve collectively.”

In El tema, the climate crisis is approached through the stories and experiences of environmental activists, human rights defenders, indigenous communities, academics and civil society organizations. Two witnesses: the actor, producer and director Gael García Bernal, and the writer and linguist Yásnaya Aguilar, spin the stories and reflect on their impact.

During the presentation, Santiago Maza Stern and Magali Rocha reminded the audience that they can see the short films individually through YouTube.
