The 15th FICM presents the winner and finalists of Nespresso Talents

The finalist short films of the national contest Nespresso Talents, as well as the winner of the same contest at an international level, were presented in Cinépolis Morelia Centro.

The Nespresso brand, in its eagerness to promote Mexican film talent, launched its Nespresso Talents in Mexico, which this year had as one of its characteristics the theme "You have the power of ...".

The short films presented were Bicho (2017, dir. Mariana Azcárate Barón), Hola Ma (2017, dir. Pablo Camargo) and Change (2017, dir. Antonio Dezner). It is important to mention that the first was awarded the first place in the international section of Nespresso Talents and was presented at the Cannes Critics’ Week as part of the prize.

The screening was presented by FICM general director, Daniela Michel, and Nespresso Marketing Director, Stéphanie Corno-Bal.

After the short films, the film Estiu 1993 (2017, dir. Carla Simón) was presented. The film tells the story of Frida, a six-year-old who is sent to live with her uncle’s family in the countryside after her mother's death. However, Frida struggles to forget her mother and adjust to her new life.
