Please join us and be part of the activities that we have planned for you. Tribute to Fernando de Fuentes Doña Bárbara (1943, dir. Fernando de Fuentes, Miguel M. Delgado) This year, the FICM pays homage to director Fernando de Fuentes, a cornerstone of Mexican cinema. Fundación Televisa joins this celebration by presenting one of his most iconic films: Doña Bárbara, a performance that resulted in the nickname "La Doña" for its protagonist, María Félix. Photo Exhibition As part of the tribute, Fundación Televisa presents the outdoor exhibition “El rancho que forjó una industria, la gesta de Fernando de Fuentes,” consisting of large-format images that tell the fascinating story of this pioneer of the Mexican film industry. The exhibition will be on display up until October 29 at the iconic Cerrada de San Agustín, at Morelia's Historic Center. We invite you to be part of a virtual tour of the exhibition guided by the researcher and curator of the collection and archive of Fundación Televisa Héctor Orozco, this Sunday, October 22 at 14 hrs. via Facebook @FotograficaMx or enjoy the tour in person with the press at 15 hrs. Premiere of the restored version of Macario Macario (1960, dir. Roberto Gavaldón) Finally, Fundación Televisa takes us back to the golden age of Mexican cinema with the premiere in Mexico of the restored version of Macario, the Mexican classic directed by Roberto Gavaldón in 1959. Prior to the screening, there will be a presentation titled "Macario. Una película para la eternidad," on the importante of film preservation and the work that Fundación Televisa has done in recent years.
