Demián Bichir Returns to FICM for the Mexican Premiere of Angelina Jolie's WITHOUT BLOOD

Mexican actor Demián Bichir returned to the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), which celebrated its 24th edition this year, to premiere the film Without Blood before Mexican audiences. Directed by Angelina Jolie and starring Salma Hayek, the film served as the festival’s closing feature.

“We are very honored that you’re here to present this film,” said Daniela Michel, the festival’s director and founder. Bichir, who also stars in the movie, previously saw the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Without Blood marks the third time Bichir and Hayek have appeared on screen together. They previously shared scenes in Jorge Fons’s Midaq Alley in 1995, and in Oliver Stone’s Savages in 2012.

“I want to thank you, Daniela. We all know that you are the one who makes this all possible. It is because of you that I am here tonight to present this film,” Bichir replied to Michel.

In Without Blood, Nina attempts to rebuild her life after surviving the war. However, the wounds of the past resurface years later, driving her to seek revenge against those who once harmed her.

At the screening, Bichir was joined by actor Patricio José, who also features in the film.
