Daniela Michel "He is one of the most original voices in American cinema. The Holdovers is a beauty of a film, well-written and well-directed. I'm sure it will be a multi-award winner," said Daniela Michel. The film tells the story of a cantankerous teacher at a private school in New England forced to stay on campus during the Christmas break to care for a group of students who can't go home to their families. After a while, he forms an unlikely bond with one of the students, Angus Tully, a rebellious, intelligent and emotionally damaged young man, as well as with the school's head cook, who has just lost a son in Vietnam.
