Miguel Calderón Production Company: FOPROCINE / Cinepantera / Cinema Máquina / EFD These films, which are in the post-production stage, will be screened exclusively for national and international festival programmers, producers, distributors and sales agents, as a unique opportunity aimed at shared reflection and the termination, promotion and circulation of the proposals. The participating titles will be presented by their respective teams, and in this way, Impulso Morelia will offer the possibility for Mexican filmmakers to engage in direct and constructive dialogue with experts of the national and international industry. Beginning with this first edition of Impulso Morelia, the company Cinépolis Distribución will offer guaranteed national distribution to one of the projects, whose terms will be defined in agreement with the selected film. In addition, a cash incentive of 200,000 Mexican pesos intended for post-production processes and services will be awarded to one of the participating titles. The Jury that will decide which film or films will receive these important awards will be comprised of the British writer and producer Lynda Myles, Mauricio Durán, vice president of Latin America for Universal Pictures, and Miguel Rivera, program director for Cinépolis. Impulso Morelia strengthens FICM’s position as a space of international visibility for Mexican cinema and affirms its mission of promoting the talent of the filmmakers of our country.
