09 · 07 · 10 Screenwriting Course Ends in Morelia Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard Clara Sánchez translated by Cindy Hawes The course was given by experienced teachers: Alejandro Mendoza, screenwriter and columnist who received the Sundance grant to finish his screenplay Las estrellas me iluminan al revéz; Beatriz Novaro, winner of the Ariel for Best Screenplay for Lola and the Rockefeller grant for El Jardín de Edén; Silvia Pasternac, coordinator of the screenwriting course at CCC, who worked alongside Carlos Carrera and Fernando León in the adaptation of the screenplay De la infancia that won the Ariel for Best Feature Film; and Alfredo Mendoza, recipient of the FONCA scholarship in Audiovisual Media/Screenwriting, who is an editor, co-screenwriter, post production editor and composer for additional music for Cerca del olvido, a documentary by Luis Mariano Bouchot that was presented at FICM 2008. The students had a glass of wine at the end of the ceremony and expressed their enthusiasm by requesting a follow up course next year.
