08 · 06 · 07 Last Call for Entry to IDFA Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard Dear documentary filmmaker: Each year, IDFA selects and screens more than 250 documentaries, running the gamut from international audience favourites to artistic experiments along the fringes of the genre. This year, IDFA will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Also, the festival, together with the FORUM and Docs for Sale, will move to new locations in the historic centre of Amsterdam. We hereby welcome you to submit your films. There are no entry fees involved, not even if your film gets selected for the festival. However, please keep in mind the deadline of August 10. We’re looking forward to a great documentary harvest. Ally Derks, IDFA DirectorRegulationsIn addition to the Joris Ivens Competition (documentaries longer than 60 minutes), the Silver Wolf Competition (30-60 minutes), the Silver Cub Competition (shorter than 30 minutes), and the First Appearance Competition (for debuting directors), the festival includes many other programmes. Please note that the selection criteria for our competition programmes have changed this year. Please take a look at the Regulations 2007 before you submit your film. Submit with MyIDFAIn order to submit your film, you need a MyIDFA account. This will allow you to submit films and projects to the festival, as well as to the markets Docs for Sale and FORUM. With MyIDFA you can easily keep track your existing entries and create new ones in the future. On our website you can register for a MyIDFA account. If you’ve forgotten the password for your existing account, please click here for a new password. New Festival LocationsThis year, IDFA is relocating the entire festival to a number of new venues in the historic centre of Amsterdam. Just like before, all festival locations will be within walking distance of each other. You can get a glimpse of the most important locations via our festival map in google maps. This map will regularly be updated with new information as the festival approaches.
