Cecilia Suárez Unveiled Her Commemorative Armchair at the 21st FICM Before the Special Screening of LLUVIA

Actress Cecilia Suárez unveiled her armchair at the Mariano Matamoros Theater, as part of the 21st Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), before the special screening of Lluvia, a film directed by Rodrigo García Saiz.

The vice president of the festival, Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas Batel; founder and general director of FICM, Daniela Michel, and the cast of the film were present for this special moment.

"I want you all to witness this surprise we have for this dear friend of the festival, who helps us and has always helped us with her presence, her talent, her work and, above all, her love and affection for Morelia," said Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas.

Moved, Cecilia Suárez, revealed her armchair to the applause of the audience in the theater.

"Thank you very much. I'm very touched and I really didn't expect it. Thank you for doing this, the affection is mutual," said the actress.

The unveiling of the armchair is one of FICM's most important traditions and its purpose is to honor the special guests of the Morelia festival.

Lluvia is made up of six stories about different characters who walk the streets of Mexico City, pursued by endless rain and absorbed in daily hopelessness. Each is confronted by an unexpected moment, a strange, luminous or absurd event that reveals who they are, and after which they are plunged back into the chaos of their days.
