CCC:  35 years of cinematographic excellence

Daniela Michel, director of FICM, presented an award to Henner Hoffman, director of the CCC, "for its [the institution's] 35 years of excellence in the formation of Mexican filmmakers."

In a modest, but moving ceremony, Hoffman pointed out that during these 35 years the CCC has worked hard to train professionals and remembered Luis Buñuel and Manuel Michel, who were important in the founding of this institution.

Henner Hoffman, a filmmaker by profession, indicated that now the CCC was more solid than ever.

"Two years ago, I received a solid CCC and I think I've maintained it that way. We are about to end the first decade of the 21st century; the CCC is a school that was founded in the 20th century and has been able to withstand time, we have confronted the technological changes, such as the possibilities of seeing film on cell phones, ipods and the Internet, all of which have opened extraordinary opportunities."
