Carlos Reygadas received the Award Premio Tradicional

[imagen]Carlos Reygadas, Mexican film maker, who won at Cannes, received last night the Award Premio Tradicional of one hundred thousand pesos, awarded by Casa Tequila Cuervo, he was awarded for his cinematic achievement.

The awards were carried out in a party at the Acueducto Mansion. Alejandro Ramírez, Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas, Daniela Michel, Cornelio Wall, Luz Silenciosa’s actor, Gael García Bernal and Luis Felipe Tovar, among other important personalities, met there.

Reygadas thanked Daniela Michel for inviting him to the festival, he also thanked Alejandro Ramírez for promoting the award and he also thanked Jose Cuervo for giving him the award.
Ramirez highlighted that this award, which has been given to Juan Carlos Rulfo and Carlos Carrera, has become one more award given to Reygadas achievements: Japón, Batallas en Desierto and Luz Silenciosa

Michel mentioned the people they were paying homage to: Bertrand Tavernier and Stephen Fears, juror at the last Cannes Festival. “They both send a hearty welcome and their love.”
