Editor Alma Rosa Tapia explained that this book goes beyond psychoanalysis: “It explores film criticism, film concepts, and what goes on behind the screen.”The audiovisual producer, screenwriter, and film critic María Aguilar talked about the movie Club Zero (2023, dir. Jessica Hausner) in her essay, since its narrative focuses on young people: “I think what Hausner proposed regarding food health issues is very interesting […] she’s criticizing the misinformation around young people and about how we should eat.”Theater actor and film critic Jesús Chavarría contributed with an essay about the film Natural Born Killers (1994, dir. OIiver Stone). Upon revisiting the movie, he was surprised to find that it had lost none of its subversive discourse despite the passing years.In her essay, psychologist Elenka Tapia decided to reflect on the burden of generational silence through the film Incendies (2010, dir. Denis Villeneuve).
