Ben Affleck congratulates FICM on its 10th anniversary

Argo, directed by and starring Ben Affleck and photographed by Rodrigo Prieto, will have its Mexican premiere at the 10th edition of FICM. Prieto is also known for Amores Perros (2000), 8 mile (2002), 21 grams (2003), Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Biutiful (2010), among many other films.

Argo begins on November 4, 1979, as the Iranian Revolution reaches its boiling point, when militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. In the midst of the chaos, six hostages manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA specialist named Tony Mendez comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country.
