Señora Pájaro and Revolución applauded at Cannes

They incuded Señora Pájaro, best short film at FICM 2009,  and Revolución, 10 short films by Mexican filmmakers Mariana Chenillo and Amat Escalante, winners of FICM 2008; Fernando Eimbcke, Premio Tequila Cuervo FICM 2008;  Patricia Riggen,  selection FICM 2005, Gael García Bernal, Gerardo Naranjo, Rodrigo Plá and Carlos Reygadas whose first feature films or second works have been exhibited at FICM; Diego Luna, who has presented Ambulante Documentary Film Festival since 2005,  and Rodrigo García.

Prior to the screening of Señora Pájaro, also attended by actress Arcelia Ramírez who appeared in the film, Véronique Decroux told the audience how happy she was to be able to participate in Critics’ Week.

and Pablo Cruz introduced Revolución in  Cannes.

Afterwards, directors of Revolución - Rodrigo Plá with 30/30-; Mariana Chenillo with  Tienda de raya, Gerardo Naranjo, with R-100; Gael García Bernal with Lucio; Patricia Riggen with Lindo y querido and Diego Luna with Pacífico - as well as producer Pablo Cruz, were introduced. Each gave a brief presentation of their project and expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to be in Critics’ Week.
