Daniela Michel underscored the importance of the photographic exhibition because it allows young audiences to get to know "the great artistic heritage of cinema", and thanked the French photographer Brigitte Lacombe for her presence on the tour.

Orozco thanked the entire festival team for the support provided to mount the Mexican film exhibitions since 2012.

" It is a very important event for us to be able to showcase part of the Televisa Foundation's film and photographic collection every year and to bring this cinema to the new generations," said Orozco.

On this occasion, the exhibition focused on the work of Fernando de Fuentes, recognized as the creator of the ranchera comedy genre. He was a screenwriter, producer and director, and his films shaped the cultural imagery of the 20th century.

"He was the first to make a feature film in color in Spanish, Así se quiere en Jalisco (1942) and he was the first to bring multichannel sound to Mexican cinema. He was always concerned about having an avant-garde cinema as a producer and contributed a great deal to forge the industry in Mexico," Héctor Orozco said of the exhibition mounted in the San Agustín gates.
