Orea, Juliana

He graduated from a B.A. in Visual Arts at the Guadalajara University, Mexico, with a specialization in directing and editing. She has worked in the production companies Cobra Films, Cebolla Films and Teonacatl Audiovisual; she has also created content for brands such as Nike and Gatorade. In 2015 she received a scholarship from the Jalisco State Council for Culture and Arts for the production of her short film En el estacionamiento, part of the Official Selection of the 14th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). En el estacionamiento has participated in festivals like the Wimbledon International Short Film Festival, United Kingdom; the 11th Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de La Plata, Argentina; and the 27th São Paulo International Short Film Festival, Brazil. En el estacionamiento has been recognized with a Special Mention at the Nordic Youth Film Festival, Norway; the award for Best Student Film at the Women’s Independent Film Festival, United States; and a Special Mention at the Uruguay International Film School Festival.
