Villalba García, Alejandra

She studied Communication at the the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), Mexico, and she attended the Mantarraya Film Workshop in Mexico City. She is part of the collective Somos/Simios, a project in which she has worked as director, producer and director of photography in diverse music videos, such as Jewish Princess for Buried Under Stars and No quiero for El Shirota. She produced the documentary short film Santa Fe (Vida y obra); she was director of photography in the productions Solo Niños y Cancionero at the Mantarraya Film Workshop; and she was an editor of the interview section for the program Vogue Who’s On Next México 2016. Her thesis, the short film Microcastillo, is part of the Official Selection of the 14th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). She is currently working on the feature film La llave del desierto by César Ortiz.
