Fulgueira; Pablo

He studied Cinematography at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico. Since 1993 he has worked in different productions as a screenwriter, assistant director, editor, sound designer, producer, musician and actor. In 2006 he directed, produced and edited Los pasos del cantador, documentary screened at the closing night of the Visual Anthropology National Conference and at the inauguration of the first DocsDF festival. In 2007 his short film Es muy fácil / It´s Very Easy, which was part of the Official Selection of the 5th FICM, received the awards for Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Short Film at the KINOKI festival; the award for Best Direction at the International Short Film Festival Mexico; a Special Mention from the jury at the 2007 Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF); and in 2008 it won the Audience Award at the In The Palace International Short Film Festival, in Balchik, Bulgary. In 2009 his feature film Venado premiered at the 24th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG); it received a Special Mention at the Independent Documentary Film and Video Latin American Meeting: All Voices Against Silence; and the Audience Award at the Environmental Cinema Summit Cancún/Tulum 2010. In 2010 he began his career as a professor and editing advisor at the CCC film school; he has also imparted workshops, special classes and conferences in schools like the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Iberoamerican University (UIA), and the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM); as well as at the Ambulante Más Allá training program. He is currently in the finishing stages of his short film La montaña y el guerrero and he is working in numerous feature film projects.
