Image Muñoz; Carlos He is a filmmaker who specialized in directing at the CUEC-UNAM film school and in communication at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP), Mexico. His career as an audiovisual creator includes multiple documentary and experimental video projects. He has given classes and workshops in cinematography and audiovisual theory at various cultural institutions and universities. His short film Nación Apache (2009) participated in the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), Mexico, and won several awards such as the Audience Award at the 8th International Student Film & Video Festival of the Beijing Film Academy, China; Honorable Mention “for production values and professionalism” at the 4th International Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico; Best Screenplay and Best Edition at the 2nd Lanterna International University Film Festival, Mexico; and Best Original Music at the 6th Kinoki International College Film Festival, Mexico. He is currently in post-production on his documentary feature Estoy aquí por una noche / The Days With Abbie (2015), which won the FICMY LAB Final Process Award at the 1st Mérida y Yucatán International Film Festival (FICMY), Mexico. The filmmaker is also working on the film adaption of his novel El lugar más oscuro and as a director for television, advertising and film projects.
