Barrón Vargas; Erik

He studied architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has done several animation, post-production and special effects projects. His animated short film 1521 (2003) was presented at the Short Film Cuadro Festival 2003, Mexico, in which he obtained a Special Mention; the 46th Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Films – Zinebi, Spain; and the 27th Tokyo Video Festival, TVF, Japon. He participated in the 4th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his short animated film Fotografias (2006), which was presented at the 2nd Film Festival “El Cine a las Calles”, Mexico; the 9th Expresión en Corto International Film Festival, Guanajuato, Mexico; the 1st Ambient Festival in Brescia, Italy; and the 15th Cinesul, the Iberoamerican Festival of Film and Video, Brazil, among others.
