Image Martínez García, Rafael He studied Audiovisual Media at the Universidad de Medios Audiovisuales (CAAV) in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and he obtained a certificate in Screenwriting at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico City. He is the founder, general director and programmer of the Cinema and Visual Arts Festival TRAVELLING, based in Celaya, Guanajuato, and he is in charge of social media and web content of the Mexican Network of Film Festivals (RedMexFest). He also works as a columnist at the news website Guanajuato Informa. He participated in the 2nd Student Rally at the 13th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) with his short film Irma vive (2010), for which he received the award for Best Work in Video at the 15th CAAV Audiovisual Showcase in Guadalajara. He also participated in the Official Selection of the 14th GIFF with his short fiction film Noche de trabajo (2011) and in the 15th GIFF with his documentary short Gravitación (2011). He competed in the 1st RUBBER: International Festival of Music in Film, Mexico City, with his documentary feature film debut Al sur de la ciudad (2014). His short film El guión/The Screenplay (2014) was part of the Official Selection of the 12th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). This film was screened at the “Night of the Screenplay 2”, organized by the blog El Inquilino Guionista, and it participated in the 1st Student Film Festival, Puebla.
