Image Ruiz, Tavo He studied Cinematography at the Lumiere Cinematographic Institute, Mexico City. He participated, with his fiction short film La Madrina (2008), at the 6th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), the UNAM's 4th International Gay Film Festival and the 5th Acapulco International Film Festival (FICA). He was awarded, for this work, the Public Prize "Recognition of the Mexican Republic" at the 5th International Short Film Cinema to the Streets Festival, Mexico. In that same edition of the Cinema to the Streets Festival, he competed with his short Josu & Pía (2009). His short fiction film The Daughter's Journey (2010) was part of the Official Selection of the 15th Festival of Sexual Diversity in Film and Video Mix Mexico, and the 3rd International Festival of Short Screenings, Mexico, among others. He participated in the 7th Cinema to the Streets Festival with his short film El plan perfecto (2011). His short, Earth (2014), earned a nomination for Best Song at the 9th Jerry Goldsmith Awards, in Spain. His short Line 9 has participated in OutFest Los Angeles, Shorts Mexico, Barcelona International LGBIT Film Festival 2017, My True Colors Film Festival, New York 2017, New Renaissance Film Festival Amsterdam 2017 and Mix Mexico.
