Hernández Máynez, Jaiziel

He studied cinematography at the CCC film school in Mexico City. His work, as director and photographer, has been shown at more than 10 film screenings and festivals around the world, including three editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). His work as the photographer in Felipe (2009) by Lenz Claure won the Studio 5 de Mayo Special Award. He participated with his documentary short film Florería y edecanes (2011), in the 9th FICM, the 7th Ambulante Documentary Tour, Mexico, and the 8th Lago Film Fest, Italy, among others. His documentary short film Las potentes cápsulas de aceite de caguama (2012) was part of the Official Selection of the 19th Visions du Réel - International Documentary Film Festival in Nyon, Switzerland, and the 41st International Film Festival of Huesca, Spain. He did the photography for Arroz (2012) by Arturo Martinelli, which competed at the 10th FICM. Currently, he is working in pre-production on his first feature film Días de invierno.
