Musalem Ramos, Mariana

She studied linguistics and Hispanic literature at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) and cinematography at the CCC film school in Mexico City. She also did postgraduate studies in screenwriting at the Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC) in Barcelona. She participated in a dozen film showings and festivals around the world with her short fiction film Estío (2009); including the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), the 5th Säo Paulo Latin American Film Festival, and the 1st 1000 Metros Bajo Tierra Underground International Film Festival, Mexico. She was part of the Project Development Workshop DocTV in Havana in 2013 with the film in the postproduction stage La nación interior (2014) by Bulmaro Osornio, in which she worked as producer. She currently has a grant from the Oaxaca Secretariat of Culture and the Arts (SECULTA) and from the CCC film school to work on her screenplay for Al final del día (2014).
