Image Ortiz Pichardo, Guillermo He studied communication at the Iberoamericana University (UIA), in Mexico City and is currently studying an MFA (Master in Fine Arts) in film production at the University of Southern California. He participated as a director in the 8th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his short film Danzón No. 2 (2009); which was part of the Official Selection at the 32nd International Festival of New Latin American in Film in Havana, among others, and won the National Award for the Preservation and Dissemination of Danzón Rosa Abdalá Gómez in 2011. He produced the film by Pablo Sánchez Delgado, Las lágrimas (2012), which was part of the Official Selection at the 10th FICM and received the Jury Award at the 36th edition of the Poitiers International Film Schools Festival, France, and the Carte Blanche Award at the 65th Locarno International Film Festival, in Switzerland, among other prizes.
