Trujillo, Adriana

She studied communication at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), Mexico, and received a master of arts degree in creative documentary from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain. She received grants from the National Program of Artistic Education of the National Council for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta), the National Fine Arts Institute (INBA) and the National Center of the Arts (CENART), in 2002, and from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) to study abroad during the period 2004-2005. Her work has been shown in more than 10 film screenings and festivals around the world. She participated with her first feature Félix: Autoficciones de un traficante (2011), in the 27th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG); the 15th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF); the 7th International Documentary Film Festival  of Mexico City (DocsDF, in Spanish); and the India Habitat Centre (New Delhi) in 2013, among others. Her documentary short film Skin Destination was part of the Official Selection of the 10th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM); the 3rd FEMCINE The Women’s Film Festival, Chile; and the 8th DocsDF, among other festivals. She has made various experimental audiovisual pieces, including her works alongside José Inerzia, Pulsos fantasmagóricos (2014) and The Arcads Media Project (2014). She is currently working on a non-narrative documentary Nido de lenguas, also with Ignacio Inerzia, on the last surviving Yumanos in the north of Mexico,
