In the ceremony Jean Christophe Berjon, general delegate of this parallel section of Cannes Film Festival, declared films as the best way to change our reality.The French film, Adieu Gary, tells the story of a small town that little by little has been transforming into an almost inhabited place and how the people that still decide to live there have to del with loneliness and abandonment.SIC honors movies made by new filmmakers from all around the world by including in the competition only first works and second movies. FICM has an alliance with SIC and because of that Cannes parallel section has special screening of FICM´s past winners. In the seventh edition of FICM some of the movies that were shown in SIC this year, will be screened in October when the Morelia festival takes place.
