Ari López, Mauricio Calderón Rico, Ximena Ayala The project, debut feature film of the Mexican filmmaker, tells the story of Bruno, a pyromaniac teenager who, conflicted by his widowed mother's new relationship and his best friend's feelings, escapes from the city in search of a girl, also a pyromaniac, beginning a long journey that will make him face the death of his father, his doubts on his sexuality and all of his fires. Renowned actress Ximena Ayala, previously featured as Yessica in Perfume de Violetas (2001, dir. Maryse Sistach), confessed that it was difficult to gain the trust of the director, because she didn't know if it would work since Ximena looks younger than the age needed for the role. She stated that “Todos los incendios is like this generation's Perfume de violetas,” since both films explore the vulnerability of adolescence. Cast of Todos los incendios Actors Ari López and Sebastian Rojano shared that since their first meeting there was great chemistry, which made it easier to work together. Sebastián also spoke about how was the process of discovering Bruno at the same time that he was discovering himself, through new experiences such as kissing a man for the first time. Director Mauricio Calderón assured that the film will be available in Mexican movie theaters next year.
