El cine de Emilio “El Indio” Fernández in the Hidalgo square. For the sixth consecutive year, the already traditional outdoor photographic exhibition has been set up in the Morelia historic center. The exhibitions, carried out by Fundación Televisa, have managed to bring images of its collection to the large number of people who walk through Morelia. This year's exhibition features the iconic director, producer and actor of the so-called Golden Age of Mexican cinema Emilio "El indio" Fernández. The director was born in Coahuila and grew up in the middle of the Mexican Revolution, in which he even took part. In the United States, he entered the film industry as an extra and stuntman. He later returned to Mexico to become an actor and finally director, becoming one of the greatest exponents of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. The tour was attended by Daniela Michel, general director of FICM; Alicia Lebrija, executive president of Fundación Televisa; Hector Orozco, curator of the photographic exhibition; and Jorge Sánchez, general director of the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE).
