Tabatta Salinas, María Novaro, Andrea Gautier Rebeladas addresses how for more than a decade, the Colectivo Cine Mujer used this art form as a political tool to denounce gender issues that defined Mexican society at the time. Today, almost five decades after its formation, the documentary turns to the group's protagonists to tell their story and contrast the reality they portrayed in their films with the panorama faced by Mexican women today. "To be here presenting in Morelia is independence and freedom, that's the slogan of the film Rebeladas and we hope you like it very much," said filmmaker Tabatta Salinas. Andrea Gautier thanked FICM for "this great opportunity to present this film."
