He is deputy editor of the French magazine L’Avant-Scène Cinéma and holds a doctoral degree in Cinema from the Université Paris VII. He is a member of several editorial committees, including Les Fiches du Cinéma, and has written for Éclipses and Trois Couleurs, among others. He has taught the History of Cinema in Paris VII and Nancy 2 universities, currently teaching the subject in the ESRA (Ecole Supérieure de Realisation Audiovisuelle). He is a member of the shortfilm selection committee for Cannes’ Critic Week, and has also directed several short features.
