A fusion of fiction and documentary, this film weaves together different stories of the inhabitants of Huilopec, a small rural area of Mexico. Teresa suspects that her husband has left her for another woman. Amalio, Nico and Óscar don’t have a father and their mother must take care of them on her own. Clementina, a teenage girl, is pregnant. Gabino, a soldier, returns to his hometown for an undetermined amount of time. The transformation of each character is gradually revealed.
