The Little Tramp will fight all odds to help gather the means to pay for an operation that will make the flower girl see again. However, the end will bring a bittersweet conclusion to his endeavor

Charlie the tramp rescues Scraps, who is being attacked by other stray dogs. They become inseparable. One day, Charlie meets the beautiful singer Edna. He has no money to pay his bill at the dance hall, and is thrown out of the place. Once at ?home? Scraps digs a hole and finds a wallet full of money. Happy, but chased by two thieves, Charlie and Scraps return to the dance hall to find Edna alone and on the street--she has been fired.
