CUEC presents best works of its alumni

Some of the movies that will be exhibited are: 40° a la sombra by Flavio Gonzalez Mello and Vago rumor de mares en zozobra by Julian Hernandez, both of them part of the official selection of FICM 2008. Hernandez has won two Teddy awards with his films Mil nubes de paz cercan el cielo, amor, jamás acabarás de ser amor and Rabioso sol, rabioso cielo; also he has been recognized as an exceptional filmmaker in other countries. Flavio González Mello is an ex student of CUEC and is now part of the faculty of the school; he has won the Premio Universidad Nacional in 2002 and the seventh Concurso de Cortometrajes from the Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía.

The screenings will be held in six venues: the Sala José Revueltas of the Centro Cultural Universitario, from June 4th to 7th;  sala Moliére in the Instituto Frances de America Latina, on the 4th, 9th and 12; at Cinematógrafo del Chopo from June 4th to 11th; in Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco as well as Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo, from June 18th to 21st and Javier Mina auditorium in the UAM-Xochimilco, from 23rd to 26th.

Some of these venues will offer free screenings and will also include a brief section in the beginning of each film called ?Cineminutos?, which consist in short film exercises, some of just a couple of minutes long.
