Brett Meyer's Lost & Found: Road to Our Parents presented at the 15th FICM

The documentary Lost & Found: Road to Our Parents (2017) was presented at the 15th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with the presence of its director Brett Meyer.

The film addresses the road trip that the filmmaker embarked on, for fourteen days along with two of his friends, in search of their biological father.

Brett Meyer.

Originally, his father's search was not meant to be a movie, but he became aware of the interest many people have in finding their lost relatives. He then sought funding to "produce a documentary many could identify with." It took seven years to condense it in 53 minutes.

Referring to how he watched the film after so many years of filming it on the road, the filmmaker said: "I'm still shocked, I've seen it so many times that I cover my eyes because I know what's coming. I'm in another chapter of my life, but it's a movie that can reach you."

Brett Meyer has also directed the short films 4:19 (2010), Late (2009), Holding Hands (2008) and Picture Perfect (2007).
