She began her acting career in 1987 in the play De la calle. Since then she has combined her work in theater with film and television work. She has won various awards, including an Ariel for Best Actress for the film Por si no te vuelvo a ver and the Best Actress in Television Award for her role in the soap opera Los Sánchez given by the Círculo Nacional de Periodistas. She also received the Best Actress Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival and was nominated for a Best Actress Award for her work in the short Las ovejas pueden pastar seguras at the 1° Concorso Internazionale del Medio e Cortometraggio in Rome. She has played the leading role in several films, including La Ley de Herodes, Ciudades oscuras, Cilantro y perejil and Lola, among others. She has been nominated for Ariel Awards three times —twice for Best Supporting Actress and once for Best Actress in a Leading Role— and has also been nominated for the Silver Goddess award. She has written two scripts for short films and won first place in the 6th Feature Film Screenplay Contest Matilde Landeta in 2010.
