Ventana Sur will be held from November 27 to December 1, 2017. Jorge Pérez Solano received the Next Award from the Tribeca Film Institute (sponsored by Canacine) and the Impulso Morelia Postproduction Award during the 15th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). La negrada is the first Mexican fiction film about the populations of African origin in the Oaxacan coast, where the "queridato", relationships in which both commit adultery, is socially accepted.
