Gallardo The film EO (2022), by Jerzy Skolimowski, was presented by producer Jeremy Thomas at the 20th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), with the attendance of the founder and general director of the festival, Daniela Michel. Jeremy Thomas “I had the opportunity to see EO at the last Cannes Film Festival, a film I was fascinated by, and won the Jury Prize. It is, in my opinion, the most radical film I saw at the entire Cannes Festival,” said Daniela Michel. Jeremy Thomas, the film’s producer, acknowledged the director’s talent. Recalling he wrote The Knife in the Water (1962), directed by Roman Polanski, "when he was just a child,” and adding that the second film he produced was, actually, by Skolimowski. In addition, he commented that the filmmaker may be 84 years old, but "he is still like a child, and his cinema is very young as you can see [...] we are all very lucky Skolimowski is still making films." EO is told through the eyes of a gray ass who knows joy and sorrow. The wheel of fortune turns, depending on the moment, his good luck into disaster, and his unhappiness into unexpected happiness. But he will never, at any moment, lose his innocence.
