GIZMO Screened at the Morelia International Film Festival

The film is an absurdist black comedy, disguised as a judicial proceeding, in which the police methodically waste time and resources, look the other way and never manage to solve anything. The disappearance of a young girl in a natural park and the strange death of a police chief are intertwined, giving rise to a paranoid plot and a possibly supernatural mystery.

During the presentation, Felipe expressed his excitement and joy at being part of FICM: “The films that have premiered at the festival make me even more proud to be here.” He added that the work was made collectively, thanks to the efforts of several people who came together in the course of filming.

Finally, Padilla explained that the narrative and visual construction of the film was designed to break with everyday life and make the project more fun for the team: “I would have been bored editing a coherent and rational film, I had a lot of fun editing this project,” he concluded.
