Born in Italy in 1975, she studied film history at the Sapienza University of Rome. She has contributed to Film Italia, the public agency responsible for promoting Italian cinema abroad, curating national and international projects. She has produced several shorts and one feature film. She has programmed and consulted for several film festivals. Since 2004, she has worked as head of programming at the Noir in Festival, one of the most important European festivals focused on the film noir genre. In 2020, after working since the very first edition as programmer and head of programming at Giornate degli Autori (GDA), the independent sidebar of the Venice Film Festival, she was named the GDA’s new artistic director.
