He studied social documentary in Barcelona after having made several trips through the African continent and becoming passionate about cinema from those regions. After participating in several film projects, he came to Mexico where he directed campaigns and commercials on human rights. That experience inspired him, upon his return, to organize the first African film festival in Latin America, Africala, work that earned him international recognition. He has served as a juror and advisor at several national and international film festivals. His first fiction short film, Y Dios quiso, was presented at more than 15 international festivals. Currently, he is the artistic director at the Mexican Human Rights Film Festival and is in the post--production stage of his first feature-length documentary, filmed in Thailand, Made in Bangkok.
