imagen pegada.tiff

The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) presents Cine para todxs 2023, a program for the exhibition in community spaces of contemporary and classic Mexican films that have marked the history of national cinema. All the artwork has been made by filmmakers who have been part of the program of past editions of FICM.

CPT 2023

This edition of the project, which will run from July 31 to October 8, 2023, has the valuable support of the Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE) through the Fomento al Cine Mexicano (FOCINE) program.

Cine para todxs was created with the objective of revitalizing, through Mexican cinema, spaces dedicated to cultural promotion in their communities, in addition to continuing FICM's work to promote the work and talent of Mexican filmmakers. The 2023 edition of Cine para todxs seeks to diversify the access opportunities to the cultural offerings of Mexican cinema with artistic merit in our country, and attract the public to exhibition spaces and movie theaters.

A total of 48 fiction and documentary films (18 feature films, 30 short films) and 4 self-portraits from FICM's Compendium of Contemporary Women Filmmakers will be screened at different venues in 6 cities around the country.

These are the films and venues that will be part of Cine para todxs 2023:
