Fabienne Aguado

Audiovisual Attaché at the IFAL (Institut français d’Amérique latine | Embassy of France in Mexico). For twentyfive years, she has held a broad range of roles that allow her to address the cultural sector, especially the film sector, in all its dimensions (creation, production, and circulation). She contributed to the creation of the Center for Film Writing (CÉCI, its French-language acronym), which she directed from 2005 to 2017 at the Moulin d’Andé (Normandy, France), before becoming director of Artistic Studies at Casa de Velázquez. There, she directed the Academy of France in Madrid (Spain), serving as the institution’s artistic voice. Through these experiences, Aguado manages residency programs, developing collaboration and communication strategies, and coordinates cultural activities with an international scope, such as conferences, lectures, and training workshops. A talent scout, advisor, development consultant, and moderator, she has participated regularly as a juror at festivals, labs, and international forums. She has worked on multiple occasions with Cannes in La Cinéfondation and Critics’ Week, CNC, Torino Film Lab, Cinémed, FID Marseille, and Institut Français, among others.
