Trazando Aleida opens today

The documentary tells the story of a woman who was separated from her parents and brother during the Guerra Sucia in México and was adopted by a foster family. When Aleida knows about her past she decides to find her missing brother.

Trazando Aleida has received, among other awards, the Premio José Rovirosa for Best Mexican Documentary in the Festival Internacional de Documentales DOCSDF; Premio Julio Pliego for Best Documentary in the category of Memoria y rebeldía del II in the Festival de la Memoria en Tepoztlán; Premio SIGNIS from the Asociación Católica Mundial para la Comunicación in the II Festival de la Memoria en Tepoztlán and honorable mention in the category of Derechos humanos in the V Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente: Contra el silencio todas las voces; it was also selected to relieve the scholarship Gussi/Artecinema handed out by Ambulante, Gira de documentales.
