The second part of this series of documentary short films revolves around the fact that 79% of the Mexican population lives in cities and they are at the center of a system that imposes conditions and costs on the rest of society. The climate crisis is thought of and resolved through meetings and interviews between actor Gael García Bernal, activist Yásnaya Águilar, and people discussing their relationships with the environment in one of the largest cities in the world.

The director Santiago Maza said that this new batch of short films allowed them to fully address the climate problems of Mexico City, "a city made of many cities, the epicenter of many problems, but also of many solutions."

Producer Paula Amor thanked FICM for the opportunity to present El Tema: CDMX worldwide in Morelia: "What we are trying to do is generate awareness and reflection [in Mexico], so that's why we decided to premiere here, because it is our most beloved festival."

She also said that over the next three Thursdays, starting tomorrow, the short films will be presented two by two on La Corriente del Golfo's YouTube Channel.

Also present were the screenwriter and producer, Pablo Montaño, and the producers Larisa Argüero, and Fabiola Quintero.
