The Latin American Industry Academy in Morelia announces its participants

 

The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), which will hold its 19th edition from 27 October through November 1, 2021, is pleased to announce the participants of the Locarno Industry Academy Latinoamérica workshop.

The workshop is an initiative organized by the Morelia International Film Festival in collaboration with the Locarno Film Festival. Its main goal is to support young professionals who work in the areas of sales, marketing, online and traditional distribution, exhibition and programming, so that they understand the challenges and build bridges with the independent film industry in Latin America and the world. The selected participants will have the opportunity to work with professionals and tutors of international relevance, to make visible the importance of circulation in the film industry.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the workshop will take place online. The workshop will be designed and run by Sandra Gómez, distributor and producer at INTERIOR XIII, along with the Locarno Industry Academy Project Manager, Marion Klotz.

The Industry Academy International in Morelia selected eight young professionals of very varied profiles, who work in exhibition, distribution or programming of festivals.
The 2021 participants are:

  3. Isabel Moncada Kerlow – Freelancer, Mexico
  4. Roberto Barrios Bueno – Nocine Films / Bolivia Lab, Bolivia
  5. Carlos Salvatierra – Al Este Film Festival / El Ekran, Peru
  6. Ana Patricia Ventura González - Machete Cine, Mexico
  7. Tamara Ganhito – Vitrine Filmes, Brazil
  8. Alfredo Ruiz Arias – ESCINE, Mexico
