Daniela Michel, general director of FICM, among the “Quién 50”

We are very happy to announce that in its November edition, Quién put Daniela Michel, general director of FICM, on its list of 50 prominent people who exalt the name of Mexico. In an interview, Daniela Michel said, “To transform Mexico, it is important to be aware of how much one loves this country and to talk about what is positive.”

For the past four years, Quién has recognized the efforts of those who are working to build a better country and this year FICM was highlighted, in the words of the magazine, as “an important leader in culture and support for cinema not only in Mexico but in the world.” The publication adds: “And while each year the festival presents renowned personalities and films, what makes it great is the support it gives to local talent.”

Other figures of the film world included in the prestigious list are Alfonso Cuarón, who heads it and whose picture is on the cover, Emmanuel Lubezki, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Gary Alazraki, Guillermo del Toro, Eugenio Derbez and Amat Escalante.

¡Congratulations to Daniela Michel and the great festival team for this recognition!
