11 · 17 · 17 Open calls for Cine en Construcción 33 Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard Cine en Construcción, the joint initiative of Cinélatino, Rencontres de Toulouse and the San Sebastian International Film Festival in support of postproduction of Latin American feature films, opened its registration period for its next edition. Since 2002, this double annual event, organized jointly by the festivals of Toulouse and San Sebastian, presents a selection of twelve films in two sessions: six films in Toulouse, in March, and six films in September, in San Sebastian. In addition to facilitating the conclusion of selected feature films, it also gives them international visibility and promotes their transmission and distribution. Every year 300 industry professionals participate among the most influential at European and international level. From these encounters, new collaborations and co-productions are born. Pablo Larraín, Jayro Bustamente, Julio Hernández Cordón, Ciro Guerra, Emiliano Torres, Pepa San Martín, Christopher Murray, Juan Sebastián Mesa, Lorenzo Vigas, Mariana Rondón, Alejandro Fernández Almendras, Sebastián Lelio, Juan Andrés Arango, Amat Escalante, Benjamín Ávila, Rigoberto Perezcano and William Vega are some of the filmmakers who have received the support of Cine en Construcción. Cine en Construcción 33 will take place on March 22 and 23 of 2018 in Cinélatino, Rencontres de Toulouse. The deadline to register a project is January 31, 2018. Find more about the call here.
