As part of the 20th edition of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), the screening of Bridget Tichenor. Visiones Reales (2022), by Tufic Makhlouf Akl, was held as part of the Mexican Premieres: Documentary program.

The presentation of the film was led by the producer Pablo Baskth, with the presence of the festival director, Daniela Michel, the visual artist Pedro Friedeberg, and the director and screenwriter Liora Spilk Bialostozky, whose documentary Pedro (2022) is part of the official selection of this edition of FICM

“When they asked for a documentary at film school, at the CCC (Cinema Training Center), I immediately thought that this woman was an ideal subject for it. It wasn’t just about painting, it was her, all of her. A natural seductress. Her way of life, the things that she had, and what she did,” commented Tufic Makhlouf Akl.

Bridget Tichenor. Visiones Reales is a retrospective that brings together the short that Tufic Makhlouf filmed in 1985 and a recent look at the work of the English painter.
