Bajo Juarez in Cineteca Nacional

The documentary follows the story of a working mother turned activist after her daughter was found dead; the film also shows the life of a sweatshop worker who came to Juarez from Veracruz. Two journalists who specialize in the Muertas de Juarez cases explain the possible reasons of why these gruesome acts are committed effectively in this city and they denounce as well the impunity in the Mexican government.

The documentary required a seven year research made by both filmmakers (from 2001 to 2007) and has received many praises as well as awards, such as:
